Summertime Fun!

Yesterday we got to babysit Kaylee's friend Samuel. I can't believe how well behaved he was! The whole time we just kept thinking "Oh Kaylee would never..." because he didn't ever cry and just had a great time. It was so fun to see them interact. Samuel would be playing with something and Kaylee would catch a glimpse of him with her stuff and run right over and lay down the law. I don't think she's very fond of sharing, quite yet (hmm...we'll have to teach her about that). So then Samuel would run over to me and want me to hold him, which I did (I mean we had to be good babysitters, right?). Well Kaylee doesn't really like sharing her Daddy either; so this is what happened:

That's my Daddy mister! And don't you forget it!

Kaylee did like to show Samuel her toys and let him play with some of them.

Samuel taking a ride...

Kaylee's turn...

And they both seemed to enjoy tickling the ivories!
(Kaylee saying "Hey, where'd you learn that song?")

The rest of the pictures are just Kaylee in all of her cuteness!

Visit from Grandpops & Mimi

Happy Father's Day (late wish) to all of the father's out there. We were fortunate enough to have Jared's dad (John) and his wife (Mary Ann) visit us for Father's Day. It was quite nice to have them here! They just absolutely adored little Kaylee and already miss her terribly! We had lots of fun hanging out, enjoyed talking on the patio and of course going out to eat. Come back any time!

Jared and his dad went out and bought some yard tools (thanks Uncle Sam!) while they were here. Included in the purchase was a chain saw. We got in trouble for cutting down the tree in the front yard, but it was a lot of fun! Gotta love being a homeowner!

Kaylee's enjoying some pasta! (Thanks dad!)

Holly's cousin (Leslie), her husband (Phill) and their son Kendrick came by to visit the other day. Here are the two kids playing.

It was 92 degrees in Long Beach today and so we decided to head on over to GGma & GGpa's house to take a dip in the pool. Enjoy the pool pics!

We had tons of fun!

Congratulations Jared!

Congratulations to Jared on graduating with his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering! We are so proud of him for all of his hard work. Kaylee & I are so happy that he'll be home with us each night now! The graduation ceremony was on Friday evening at Cal State Long Beach. Here are some pictures from the event.

Earlier in the day, Kaylee was having fun with Mommy's purse. She kept putting it on her shoulder and walking around the house like a big girl.

Come on Dad, I'm ready to go!

What are you looking at? Don't most people carry their dog in their purse?

Check out the next two posts to see the rest of our exciting week!

Welcome Cousin Tyler!

Kaylee's cousin, Tyler Oneil Price, was born Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 5:29 pm. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Tyler & his parents are doing well. The baby is getting lots of sleep (we can't say the same for the parents).

Kaylee & I spent over 5 hrs in the hospital waiting for the arrival. Kaylee was good entertainment for those waiting. She had fun with Grandpa's wild stroller ride in the hallway. She also enjoyed pushing the stroller herself. Here's a picture of her with Gramma.

The happy Price family

Yea! I'm an aunt! I can't believe Kaylee was ever smaller than this!

Kaylee loves being a cousin.
She walks around the house saying "baby baby baby".
She is playing with Tyler's long toes in this picture. Doesn't she look like such a big girl compared to Tyler?

Fun with Friends!

Last weekend we had some friends come stay with us from Las Vegas. Mike was Jared's roommate at BYU & Lauren was Holly's roommate. They have a little girl that is about a month older than Kaylee. Of course a visit to southern California wouldn't be complete without a trip to the beach. Kaylee hadn't been since this summer, so it was a pretty new experience for her too. Unfortunately it was way too cold to go in the water (the weekend before it was 98 degrees!)

Jared & Mike with their girls.

The last day of their visit, we drove out to Yucaipa to visit our friends Shelley, Steve and baby Mariah. Here's Kaylee fast asleep on the way out there (the pink pajamas are propping her head up).

Here are all the girls. Thanks Shelley for the yummy dinner!
