Kaylee is Two!

Kaylee is two years old!!! Who can believe it?!? We certainly can't. She's learning and growing so much every day it's crazy. Well we had a fun 'Elmo' party for Kaylee on April 4th. Her Auntie Kelly made an awesome Elmo cake for her (thanks again!) and she loved it. We had a wonderful time with family and all enjoyed seeing Kaylee be Kaylee. Here are a few pics...

Blowing out her two candles on her Elmo cake.

Can you believe that Kelly made this Elmo cake?!? It turned out great!

Kaylee enjoyed eating it too! ;-)

She got some markers to color with from her Grandma Niecee...

And she loved the 'dress up' box that she got from gramma...

And the horsey...

But her favorite gift was the Little Tikes Bouncin' Buggy car that she got from Mommy and Daddy! You should have seen her face when she first saw it!

This picture was on Facebook and a friend commented about how they could see something similar happening in about 14 years - cute girl, new car, shopping etc...we prefer not to think about that right now!!!

One happy little two year old!

Here is a video of Kaylee enjoying her new car...

Here's another little video of Kaylee. Part of it's from after our vacation. The other part is from her birthday party. But listen to how she says 'snow'. It's so cute!

Utah Trip

We got to go to Utah March 26-31 to visit family and participate in Kaylee's cousin Addison's baby blessing. It was SO much FUN! We barely survived the airplane flight with an almost two year old bouncing off the walls. 35 degree weather and snow flurries greeted us when we got off the plane...Kaylee learned how to say 'snow' very quickly. But we had a great time and it was WONDERFUL seeing family.

Check out the sweet zoom on our camera!

Holly and Kaylee freezing their cute little patooties off! Kaylee's like, "Mommy! Why is it so cold? I've never felt that before (being a California girl...)!"

The sun (and the snow) was so bright!

Once she touched the snow, she wasn't so sure that she liked it...

Here's Kaylee's cousin, Addison! She's such an adorable little girl (kind of like one that we know very well). It was so much fun seeing Kaylee with her. She LOVES babies...

She kept trying to 'help' cousin Addi...

And she gave her lots of kisses!

Kaylee found this car at the little playground where Jason and Jami (Addi's parents) live. She LOVED it!

Uncle Twinkie even pushed her around on this bike...

We went to Jared's aunt's house too and Kaylee enjoyed playing dress-up...

Daddy's an old man...

This week was awesome! Jared turned 18 (again - at least that's what everyone kept telling him...) this last Wednesday. It was a great birthday. I got the BEST birthday phone call ever! You see, the day before, Kaylee learned how to say the word 'happy'. And so Holly and Kaylee called me on the phone at work and sung me happy birthday! Kaylee would say 'happy' and then Holly would sing a few words and then Kaylee would say 'happy' again etc. We got it on video later that day...

Then my co-workers took me out to lunch (yummy Mexican food). Then I came home and Holly and Kaylee gave me my present. The pics will tell the story...

Daddy opened up his present and saw some 'opera glasses', as they're called. These are his thoughts: "Interesting gift; cool, I guess..."

Kaylee like playing with them too (backwards, of course).

Upon further inspection of the gift bag (taped to the bottom) he found the real surprise...(check out that face!)

Tickets to the Suns-Lakers game for the next day! Jared was quite happy and pleasantly surprised! We had a blast going together.

Here's the almighty Staples Center in all its glory...

We were way up there (thus the opera glasses) but we didn't care! We had so much fun enjoying the night out together. Our only gripe was that two of the Suns star players were out with injury (Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire). Oh - and that the Suns suffered their worst defeat of the year! But at least the Lakers fans didn't get their free tacos! I don't know if that's a good thing; I guess we could have enjoyed them as well...

Here's a little Kobe-Shaq pic

Shaq at the free-throw line (always a surprise outcome)

Look at that happy couple! Thanks so much Dear! I'll always remember this one!

Craft Time!

Well we've actually been getting some rain down here in good ole So Cal! This is a good thing. Can't have sunny days everyday! ;-) But being cooped up in the house all day long...it can get a little challenging entertaining an almost-2-year-old, who never runs out of energy. Well, Holly pulled out the water colors this last week and Kaylee had a blast! She had tons of fun mixing all of the colors and painting Daddy a pretty picture. She's such a big girl!

Look at her...she's having so much fun!

Pretty pictures!

Here's Kaylee playing around with her 'friends' in her crib...

Kaylee was messing around one day and wanted to walk around in Mommy's shoes...so cute! Look at those little leggies!

We took a little family pic at Gramma's house last night...

Kaylee with a cute little smirk the other day...

And don't you just LOVE this little face! Can you imagine what she's thinking?!?
