Happy Independence Day!

Happy Independence Day! We are so thankful for all those who have sacrificed so much so we can enjoy the freedoms that we have living in this country.

We had a very happy 4th of July. Jared's brother Jason, his wife Jami, and their little girl Addi came from Texas to visit for a couple days. We didn't tell Kaylee they were coming (just in case the car broke down....which it did...but luckily they made it anyway). Kaylee woke up from her nap on Sunday afternoon to the wonderful surprise that her cousin Addi was at our house. They hadn't seen each other since Addi was 3 months old! Kaylee drowsily walked out of her room and into the arms of Addi, who ran to her and gave her a big hug. (That Addi gives some good hugs!) Over the next 2 days, Addi continued to give Kaylee lots of hugs and kisses. They had so much fun and just loved being together. Kaylee and Zackary both adored her. Zackary was able to say "Addi" by the end of the first night.

It was hard getting Zackary to sit still long enough to get a picture, but I managed to get this one.

Cute cousins!

Bed head! They both have curly hair that is a bit crazy in the morning!

After going to a flag raising at the church in the morning, we took the kids to the park which had a duck pond. The kids enjoyed looking at the ducks and for turtles.

The guys were busy fixing the plumbing problem back at the house. (Amazing how it always seems to happen on the holidays. I think this is our 3rd holiday that we've had the problem since we bought the house.) Lookin' good boys!

Later, we headed over to GGma's & GGpa's house for a little swimming & BBQ.

Cousin Tyler was also able to come play. Unfortunately his mommy was in the hospital, but she is doing better now. Luckily Tyler didn't really know what was going on, so he was still able to have a good time.

Pretending to be asleep :-)

To top off the day, we took Kaylee & Addi to see the fireworks at Vets Stadium. We enjoyed the show from the back of the car. After such a fun day, they both zonked out in the car on the way home.

We miss you Addi, Jason & Jami! It was fun having you here.
